Sunny Side Up Charity is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by sisters Jaz, Leslie & Wesley Espinal, Dominican-American daughters born in New Jersey, forever shaped by the loss of their mother to suicide in 2019.
What followed wasn’t just grief, it was a rebirth. A calling to reimagine mental health in a way that feels human, rooted, and real.
Now that our mother no longer has a voice, it’s up to us to give her one, to speak for the earth, for the children, and for the legacy she left behind.
We believe healing doesn’t start in crisis, it starts in childhood, in community, in the soil beneath our feet.
That’s why our mission is to bring mental wellness, permaculture education, and sustainability into schools and juvenile detention centers, places where the next generation can be reminded of who they are: connected, capable, and deeply loved.
Yes we'd love to grow food forests in every school across the nation, but more than that, we want to grow spaces for belonging, resilience, and hope.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and help raise awareness of mental health issues plaguing our community. Your generous donation will fund our mission and make a big impact.
